Script Song Story

I put all of my songs that I have bought by The Script onto shuffle and this is what I came up with.

This time he is going to wear an iron suit, this time she's going to fix her heart and make it bullet proof. My head is saying no but my heart keeps giving in. All the things that we've lost, breaking off comes at a cost. Tried to break love to a science in an act of pure defiance I broke his heart and now I miss this mistake. Give me highs, give me lows, give me thorns with my rose, I want everything. I think I want you more than want and know I need you more than need. Going back to the corner where I first saw you gonna camp in my sleeping bag. I'm not gonna move.

Would Dylan be just a poet? Would Bono ever know it? Without those songs. My hands are cold, my body's numb, I'm still in shock, what have you done? I don't know why he's with me. It's in the eyes of the children as they leave for the very first time and it's in the heart of a soldier as they take a bullet on the front line. When love's a battle and life's a war, I'll take it on the chin, you won't ever feel a thing. I could talk all day long about the news, giving you the current affairs and my views.

My head, my head is full of things I should have done. Don't live your life that way of course he's gunna say anything you want. What am I supposed to do when the best part of me was always you? You touch these tired eyes of mine and map my face out line by line.

Am I better off dead? Am I better off a quitter? Dedicate yourself and you'll find yourself - Standing in the hall of fame.

To your brother, to your sister, to your missus to your mister. To your friends. To your foes. Give the love around and back around it goes. It's been a while since the two of us talked. About a week since the day that you walked. They're kicking us out saying it's time to close. We're leaning on each other trying to beat the cold, carry our shoes and I give you my coat. When I was younger, I'd pray for thunder, a thousand angels banging on their chairs, all of the lightening was never that frightening like cameras all flashing in the air.

Sometimes tears say all there is to say and sometimes your first scars won't ever fade away. You've read the books, you've watched the shows. What's the best way, no one knows. When's the day you start again and when the hell does you'll get over it begin?

Late to bed, we're early to rise, wipe the sleep from our eyes. That's how a superhero learns to fly. Every day every hour turn that pain into power. It's been a long time coming. Up in the bar all smoking cigars we were drinking Irish whiskey straight from the jar. Talking about them better days that are not that far. Whoever's coming back to mine you better bring the guitar. You sing a sad song yeah sing it from the heart. Tell a sad story yeah tell it from the start. Who's have thought about the cause and effect? No one cares. There's no one there. But did you see the flares in the sky? Were you blinded by the light did you feel the smoke in your eyes did you? Did you? Did you feel the sparks filled with hope. You are not alone because someone's out there sending out flares. I still look for your face in the crowd oh if you could see me now and we don't even know how we got into this situation only doing things out of frustration, and we don't even know how we got into this mess, is it God's test? Tryna make it work but man these times are hard. There comes a time that every bird has to fly at some point every rose has to die.

Now my head is sore, if I try to sail back in she's gunna push me from the shore. There's no end, there's no end, 'cause this love transcends. I found you before and I'll find you again.

I asked him why he's running away. He said he was born to live this way. Now I know you're missing home it's been so long since you've been and that life you had in Dublin now ain't nothing but a dream. To be right there in the moment you'd give anything to be. It's al-right 'cause tonight we're going to paint the town green. Paint the town green. Just like home.

  1. Interesting. Have you been wanting to do this for a long time or were you just bored to death and had absolutely nothing better to do? This looks like something I would do out of extreme bored. Nice job with it. You used every single song didn't you? Sure seems like it.

I now command you to do the same thing again but with OneRepublic songs!

    1. Yes i was extremely bored. But hey ho. It turned out great.

Hmm ... That would take a long time. How many albums have they got? I'm not that huge a fan but I do like some of their hits and other songs as well.

      Delete
    2. OneRepublic only has 3 albums out.

How long did this take? Must've taken an hour minimum. Hey, if you're extremely bored I guess it doesn't really matter how long it takes.

      Delete
    3. I've got one song from each of their albums.

Half an hour... I'm a fast writer. I put my ipod on shuffle and it all kind of just fit together.

Another thing ... U2 Asked if there is end to love. The Script answer it with the energy never dies. HA IRISH POWER

      Delete
    4. Ah. What songs are they? Wait, let me guess.

      Dreaming Out Loud: Apologize
      Waking Up: Marchin On
      Native: Counting Stars

Only took half an hour? Okay then, fast writer it is. You must be on a computer because now way could you have typed all that up on your phone. Auto-correct would come and ruin the fun all too often for you to have done it that quick.

      Ha! Yes! Irish Power!

      Delete
    5. Dreaming Out Loud - Apologize and Stop And Stare
      Waking Up - Marchin On
      Native - Guess again.

Yes I'm on my computer now haha. Yes auto correct has a tenancy to come a ruin the party

I THOUGHT SO. What I was wondering is how come no one put two and two together ... or does it just take a genius? ;-)

    6. I got 1 1/2 right! If I Lose Myself, I Lived, or Feel Again?

You would never guess how many times I'd write on my tablet then I'd post and see that auto-correct had changed the words. Like smores to snores. Yeah, so I guess the characters were making snores. Because that makes perfect sense.

Well of course Irish Power! Danny doesn't have that as a tattoo for nothing! Not so much a genius to put them together, but just the bit of knowledge. I probably could have put that together if I knew U2 had a song asking that. Not a genius, but a music pun maker. Like yourself and I.

      Delete
    7. Nope nope and nope would you like me to relieve you of this burden I have stowed on your shoulders? ;-)

Oh wow that makes perfect sense.

True very true. As if Danny would have a tattoo that was meaningless. Mark has said that he cannot even sing anything meaningless let alone have something on his body that his meaningless
Yes that's what I am calling myself from now on the Music Pun Maker

  2. I WILL GO THROUGH THE WHOLE FLIPPING ALBUM IF I HAVE TO!
Preacher, Something I Need, Love Runs Out, What You Wanted, Light It Up, Life In Color, Don't Look Down, Can't Stop, Burning Bridges, If I Love Myself Alesso remix.

Perhaps that was cheating since I just listed off the whole album. I would get to that point one time or another so might as well save us both some time by just listing them all off now. Now which one is it?

Yeah, it does. Now everybody's just going to start making snores around the campfire.

Yeah, if you can't sing something meaningless you wouldn't want something meaningless tattooed permanently on yourself.

I'm a Music Pun Maker to! I made puns during The Fault In Our Stars. I feel no shame.

    1. Well one of them is it ;-)

Yeap ... although I wouldn't put it past my Dad to do that actually haha.

      Precisely that.

I haven't watched or read that yet. I think I need to. Nope don't ever feel shame for music puns

    2. I made one epic Scripty pun in Religion class. The teacher asked why is it that in some respects we are immortal. I say 'Because the energy never dies' HA I FEEL NO SHAME WHATSOEVER

      Delete
    3. Love Runs Out or What You Wanted. If it's not either of those two then please tell me which one it is.

I wouldn't put it past my dad either.

Yes! You need to watch it! I'd suggest reading it first then watching the movie.

Nice one! *virtual high five* I wouldn't feel shame either.

I made at least 2 puns during the movie. The main character said that she was a grenade then I said 'life's a ticking bomb' then there was a thing about bad things and I said 'they say bad things happen for a reason' It was so bad but yet so good and I feel no shame.

      Delete
    4. You got it! ;-)

      High five for snoring dads!

I always read a book before seeing the movie.

*Virtual high fives you* THOSE ARE AWESOME PUNS. IT'S A REAL SHAME BECAUSE NO ONE REALISES WHAT YOU HAVE DONE. Although I did tell one of my scriptette friends in the college and she said 'Nice one Charlotte'

      Delete
    5. High five for snoring dads!

I always try to. I remember being curled up in the corner by the stove one day finishing reading The Hunger Games like half an hour before we went to see the movie.

*bows* Why thanks you! My mom realized what I did. She's a member of #TheScriptFamily now. One day she actually asked me what she needed to do to become a member of #TheScriptFamily. (Sorry for the use of hashtags, I know we're not on Twitter but it's appropriate. Or at least I think so).

That was an AWESOME one! You deserve an award for that pun!

    6. My english teacher asked why love carries on I said: Because there is no end. Love transcends. People find each other before and they find each other again' No one noticed what I did ...

Ah see I read THG before I even knew it was going to come out in the cinema.

My mum was part of #TheScriptFamily before I was. To be honest I use that hashtag in every day speech

      Delete
    7. Why thank you Claire. I'll have that gold medal sent by post eh? ;-)

  3. Ah! Sneaking it into the class! I could never seem to pull that off. The right moment never seems to come along and I'm waiting for the day that it will.

My mom got it because she thought the movie looked interesting and she got me to read the first few chapters and I was hooked.

One of my favorite books of all time is being made into a movie! Yay!

I got my mom into #TheScriptFamily but my mom has gotten me into liking a couple different acts as well, mainly on Secondhand Serenade but that's not the point. My mom's just about the only person in my family that has a good taste in music. I'm extremely thankful for that.

You're very welcome! You deserve it! I now award you, Charlotte, a gold medal for your excellence in slipping song puns into conversation.

    1. I finally get to see The Script in Birmingham on their 2015 UK NSWS tour. EEEE mega excited.

Ah see I can't seem to go to a class without making a pun.

I'm glad my Mum has a good taste in music.

      YAAAAAAAYYYY which one?

      YAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY WAHOO hehe.

    2. Awesome! That is super awesome! You better take tons of pics and tell me all about it! Write a blog post about everything that happened.

There's never a good time to make a good pun in my classes so I can't make any. But boy do they come out in conversation.

Switched, first book of the Trylle Trilogy by Amanda Hocking. The book is absolutely amazing. It has a different take on trolls.

    3. My mum and I both jumped up and down for joy. I was in a middle of a class so i excused myself to go to the ladies room and jumped up and down squealing then. My Mum however was jumping up and down and dancing in the garden whilst shouting 'I'M GOING TO SEE THE SCRIPT LIVE!!' best reaction everywhere. One of my friends said 'And this is what we have to out up with until Febuary 26th' HA.

I always find good pun times in my classes.

      Delete
    4. At least you excused yourself to the ladies room to fangirl instead of doing so right in the classroom.

How much can't can a fangirl can't if a fangil literally can't even?

I'd be reacting the same way! My mom would probably be doing that as well. It's just so nice when you and your mum like the same music acts. They're that one person who understands your joy and excitement, even if it's just about little things such as a television appearance.

My friends get agitated when I"m excited about a little thing like a television appearance. I can't even imagine how they'll feel if I get to see The Script one day.

I would be making them left and right but I don't look for quality but effectiveness and they're most effective when they fit in. I've never seen a good opportunity in a class to make a pun.

    5. I squealed a little in class but stifled it. Went to the teacher asked to go and got out of the class and ran for the door.

      So true.

My mum may have liked them before me but she doesnt like them as much as I do. She is not one of those super fans that obssess (yes i did have an OCD overbthem at one stage) so when they were on Sunday Night At The Palladium, i made my whole family watch it and even Dad said it seemed boring now The Script have gone. I was hoping Danny would record the voice message too.

'Cause if one day you phoned up
And found that you missed me
And your heart starts to wonder
Where on this earth i could be
Thinking maybe you'll call me back
Well lets keep this short and sweet
      I'll probably pick up later
It can just be you and me
      So call back later
      Call back later"

I HAD IT ALL FIRGURED OUT! HE COULD HAVE DONE IT!

I have two friends that really like The Script. Both of them love the indie style. Then i have one friend who gave them a try but didn't like them. Then another who listens to hard core punk stuff and sees their music as 'soft princess music' I also have two male friends. One who likes their music. Another who thinks Danny is bae.

Puns just slip out of my mouth at just the right moments in my classes but no one realises they are puns and then they wonder why im smiling so much.

      Delete
    6. Well, kudos to you for managing to leave the classroom.

The Man Who Can't Be Moved to the modern era. Nice!

I don't have any friends in person that like The Script. I've got my mom, a person from the summer camp I went to, and my peeps online.

soft princess music? My apologies that you burst your eardrums out with guitars that are much louder than what would be effective, drums that are brutally being attacked and not actually being played, and a singer who's really just growling nonsense into the microphone. My father said the same thing in response to OneRepublic and The Script and my response was.

'One of the songs is actually titled Lullaby so you cans shut your face'.

Did you know that bae is from the Danish language and it really means poop? With this knowledge you won't ever be able to use the word bae again now, will you?

When I'm encountered with the right moments the song puns just ooze out of my mouth.

Most used song for puns: Apologize

Whenever someone apologizes to me or around someone, a friend not a total stranger, I always go 'It's too late'. Everybody either starts laughing or rolls their eyes.

    7. I am now stealing that apologise pun. Haha. Thats one awesome pun.

I really had it all figured out. TMWCBM moved to the modern era haha.

Since ive moved to college I found a lot of people that like The Script.

You know the next time I see him i will tell him that he called Danny poop. And nope i will not be using it ever again.

      Delete
    8. Go ahead and steal it. Thanks, I always thought it was. Sadly, my mom and I are the only ones who laugh when I pull it out in public. Nobody understands the art of a good pun nowadays.

      Yes it did!

That's good that you've found a lot of people that like them. What fun is college if you don't meet anyone who has similar interests?

You better tell him! Yeah, I think it's best that you don't use it ever again. I never used it but then I found out that it really meant poop in Danish and it gave me another reason to never use it.

      Bae=Poop NOT Bae=Babe

People think bae is the same thing as babe. Aren't they wrong!

      Delete
    9. In the UK bae stands for Before Anyone Else. So you were mine before anyone else.
I hardly ever use it anyway so nope defo wont be usig it now.

      Delete
    10. Really? I didn't know that. Thanks for that piece of information.

I only ever used it once and that was in a story to state that it means poop in Danish.

I guess it's different here in the US because people think it means babe when it doesn't.

      Delete
    11. Haha.

Ive only used it once ti describe Danny (in UK terms not Danish terms)

    12. Thanks for the clarification on that one or that would be a little weird. Like. "How dare you call Danny poop!"

I wish blogspot would stop asking me to verify that I am not a robot.

    13. I would never call Danny poop not at all. I sent the meaning to the lad and he hasnt come back. Maybe he dont like the fact that he called Danny poop.

Hmmm Claire ... are you sure you're not a robot?

Having said that it does get very annoying. I am following all of my classmates amd whenever i want to make a comment it asks me to confirm that I am most definitely not a walking talking robot.

      Delete
    14. He probably doesn't and I don't blame him.

Charlie, I think you've known me long enough to know that I am not a robot.

Robots don't have feelings! I think a more effective way to verify that you're human is to ask what the saddest thing you saw/heard was. Robots would be able to answer that.

It does get annoying. I've gotten annoyed by it just commenting on your stuff, I can't even imagine how annoying it is to you.

  4. I wouldn't either.

    5. Yes, you are the queen of sarcasm, hold a gold medal in song puns, and have a PhD in stalking Irish bands. What a profile you hold!

I had a class once where all we did was watch the 3 Stooges movie.

Ooh! What kind of games did you play?

Guess what?! Because of schedule changes I'll get to take Creative Writing halfway through the year! It's only offered the second half of the year sadly but at least there's no year restriction!

I watched it at home. I was literally crying with laughter.

Heads down thumbs up and a story game where you write a girls name a boys name where they met what they did what she said and what he said. We had to fold the paper down so no one could see. I put Girl slaps male

      Instantly regretted slapping Danny.
Im not surprised. To get onto the course i had to write a piece of creative prose/poetry/script in 250 words and a nonfiction piece.

I bet you cant wait to get started.

    2. Slapping Danny because he asked you if you want a cup of tea? How dare you! You didn't know the male was Danny though, did you?

Nobody is really surprised, and you know me better than most of my friends at school. I don't think I'll have to do something like that to get into the course. You're also taking it in a college and I'm taking it in high school.

I really can't! I want it to be 3rd quarter already! Time just can't go fast enough now, can it?

    3. No i didnt. Hency why i put girl slaps male. I know i know forgive me Claire. Forgive me Danny.

Hmm now that is very true i do. I still remember when you were screaming and shouting about Andy from the playset.

True i am. High school will be different from college. It will be simpler but im sure you will get just as much out of it as I am.

I shall see if it fits in with what we have to do but if it does ... oh boy they are in for some distraught and i am in for some fun ... that makes me sound evil ... well we both know I am evil so that's okay.

    8. Ah. Well good luck with that then! Non-fiction isn't very easy to write, especially when you're expected to be creative with it. Too bad you couldn't just do a biography about the lads. That would be non-fiction.

    9. It had to be autobiography or travel writing. I thought that i could do their roadie writing an autobiography but instead it has to be your own life

    10. Ah. Well then a pub review would probably be best then.

    11. It just frustrates me so much. I just do not get creative non-fiction

    12. I don't get it either. You can either have facts or you an be creative. You can't have both!

    13. Thats my view too. My teacher said 'i guess you wont be doinf non-fiction pieces for your coursework' my answer 'no way!'

    14. Yup! I can write non-fiction pieces but it depends on how they need to be written. I can write a biography about a person or an essay about an event in history but you can't so much be creative with cold hard facts. The only thing I can think of would be an essay set in a time of history where you write it as a journal entry or conversation that's backed up by facts.

    15. I can write non-fiction too. The stereotypical form of it but not the creative side. We werw told to write a piece of travel writing or an autobiography.

    16. Yeah, you can't be really creative with it, or creative at all. I think a piece of travel writing would probably be easiest but autobiographies really aren't that hard. I had to write one for a class and I got a 100 on it. I also got it written in half an hour. Shows how boring and uneventful my life is.

    17. One thing i absolutely hate are commentaries. You basically explain ur choices for writing in a particular style. Any changes yiu made. Your aims. What you can do to improve. I got 16/30 in mt last one. Not good; a D. Whereas I got a C for my poem. 20/30 and thats without using imagery personification similes or metaphors. It got that bc of its structure and how emotionally challenging it was. I made people cry when i read it out or when people read it and actually inspired someone to write another poem.
